Someone once said, “Never underestimate the power of your brows” and they were right! Your brows frame your face, balance your features, and give you that extra confidence boost. Listen, let’s get real - your face is the gateway to endless opportunities. As the brow expert, I am going to give you some tips so you and your clients can have perfect eyebrows.
Now let’s get started...
SHAPE - Identify the shape of your face.Heart-shaped faces: If your chin is the tip of the heart then your brows should be round to create a natural, soft, and feminine look that completes the shape of your face.
Oval-shaped faces: If your face tapers towards the chin than angled eyebrows will soften your look but still help make your eyes be the center of attention.
Round-shaped faces: If you have somewhat of a wide face then curved brows with a medium to high arch height will lengthen your face appearance.
Square-shaped faces: If you have this type of face I suggest an angled eyebrow with a thick strong arch to create balance.
Long-shaped faces: If your forehead to chin is elongated than a horizontal flat brow line or straight brow line will accomplish the illusion of a shorter face.
TRIM - Get those brows looking even.
Comb your brows straight up with a double-ended brow tool or a mascara wand and then use slightly slanted eyebrow scissors to trim only the longest hairs staggering the length as you go. You want to get rid of any easily noticeable hairs that stick out longer than the others to create a uniform length look.
WAX - Get rid of those small unwanted hairs.
Before beginning your eyebrow waxing session apply Garnier SkinActive Micellar all-in-one cleanser & remover (which I highly recommend) on the brows and surrounding area. After the skin is clean and dry check your Nova wax in your Nova warmer to make sure that it is consistent and temperature accurate. Then apply the desired section of Nova wax on the intended part of the brow carefully. You want to remove the hair from the opposite direction of hair growth. Make sure you are accurate and precise since as you know hair won’t grow back for 2-3 weeks, so make sure you are paying attention. Don’t double-dip and repeat until you get your desired results.
CLEAN - Polish off those newly waxed brows.
After waxing you might need to pluck any difficult hair that decided to hang around so go ahead and do that. Then I highly recommend using Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner along with Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil Ointment to finalize your waxing session. This will cool, calm, and cleanse the skin leaving it looking radiant and feeling smooth.
Creating perfect eyebrows is truly a talent since it is all about precision, application, and technique. You may want to disguise gaps or make your eyebrows look fuller by using a brow pencil to make those brows pop!
