Fine and vellus hair come up readily, and it shows most at the brow line. A thin coat holds a clean edge and takes the hair with it.

Rosin is what most strip wax uses for grip, and it's also the most common thing clients react to. Nova's soft wax uses a synthetic resin instead. Same hold on the hair, without the ingredient behind most of the trouble.
The creamy consistency is doing work too. It cushions on contact, which is what makes the pull land softer. Underneath it, a mineral oil base keeps the wax gliding over skin instead of gripping it, so the barrier stays intact when the strip comes off.
