It is extremely important to know everything about your clients before you begin a waxing session. Client consultations play a key role in the waxing process. For every esthetician, a successful consultation will allow you to gather information from your clients, understand their needs, and assess what products will work best for their skin type.
Taking the time out to complete a client consultation could prevent potential problems so have your clients fill out a quick questionnaire before you begin your session.

The reason why it’s important to know these things is that if you are dealing with someone who takes acne medication their skin will be thinner making waxing difficult. How so? It will be painful for the client and you don’t know what results you will get - it’s suggested to politely decline to wax with those who use acne medications. This is best for both parties.
You want to make sure that you have a well-run operation so make sure you are asking a lot of questions before you start taking on any clients!
